Dark StoneSensory profilewarm stone — dried fig — roasted cocoa |
Harvested from the steep, mineral-rich cliffs of the Wuyi Mountains, Dark Stone (Da Hong Pao) is among China’s most celebrated oolong teas. Rainwater filters through the rocky terrain surrounding the tea gardens, contributing to the distinctive mineral character for which Wuyi teas are known. Through traditional roasting, the leaves develop notes of roasted cocoa, dried fruit, and warm stone, unfolding gradually across many infusions. Revered for centuries, Da Hong Pao rose to prominence during the Ming Dynasty, when it was honored as a tribute tea reserved for royalty.

Wonderful tea sampler. Had exactly 10oz in ea. Used my digital weight to measure out the 2oz as the tea leaves are very different in weight. Delicious flavor and I have more stable energy.
Nothing makes us happier than hearing from our customers, especially when they love our tea. Thank you so much, Danielle, for your kind words and for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We especially loved the photo you shared—it looks amazing, maybe even better than our own product photos! 😊
Knowing that you're enjoying our tea fills us with gratitude. It's an honor to be part of your daily ritual, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to bring a little warmth and comfort to your day. We hope every sip is as enjoyable as the last!
I’ve only tried one of the teas so far but was surprised how good it tasted! I do like the mindful, unhurried way of enjoying it.
Wonderful, Donna. So glad to hear you're enjoying the teas! We like them quite a bit too :) Thank you for taking the time to write your review. It really makes a difference for our business!
I enjoyed trying the tea in the sampler. I liked the taste. Unfortunately, I have discovered that my stomach can't handle the caffeine. I will pass the tea on to a friend.
Sorry to hear the caffeine doesn't sit well with you and thank you for sharing your taste experience. It's easy to underestimate the amount of caffeine some teas can have. At least it tasted good though, and we're very glad you enjoyed it!
I have really enjoyed the teas. Was a bit disappointed by the quantity of tea in some packs.it stated there is enough for 5, 1 tsp servings in each packet but some barely had 3 tsp of product. Overall pleased with the product.
Hi Kathy, Thank you for your review! We're very happy that you enjoyed the teas. Regarding the quantities: each sample bag contains exactly 10 grams of tea (5 servings). Some of the teas are tightly rolled, so the amount of tea per teaspoon can vary dramatically. If you parsed out 1 bag into 3 teaspoons, then each teaspoon would be more than the recommended serving, which is 2 grams. It's best to use small teaspoons for the tightly rolled teas. The Dark Stone is not tightly rolled, so the teaspoon will be much larger.
Rest assured that by weight, each sample bag is at least 10 grams, which a kitchen scale can confirm.
